Rudolf Treichler

Rudolf Treichler was born in 1909, attended Stuttgart Waldorf School before studying medicine, with a dissertation on Friedrich Hölderlin's mental condition in relation to his poetry. He specialized in psychiatry and neurology and worked at the Stuttgart Hospital for Nervous Diseases, followed by private practice. Dr. Treichler became director of the annual Week of Psychiatric Studies at the Goetheanum, as well as joint medical director at the Friedrich Husemann Clinic. Since then, he worked at the clinic as a consultant and gave courses in psychiatry. His publications include books and articles as well as poetry.
