Dear Jonathan,Thank you for sharing your perspective. As so often happens, when encountering different points of view, we are asked to rethink our own. Your letter has asked just that. In taking in your opinions and investigating our differences, I have found an even deeper alignment with the mission of the Starfire group and the Journal for Star Wisdom.
Those in the Starfire group who were students of Willi Sucher have shared the fruits gathered from their personal relationships with him. This has deepened my understanding of our collective mission. So many of you were gifted with Willi's noble example: to leave others in freedom and by all means to continue doing research. Willi's statement that he had “only scratched the surface” leaves all his students with a great deal of work yet to be done.
I am grateful for your willingness to express your point of view. Together we strengthen the possibilities so endless in scope. It is my experience that differences create a chaos into which higher truths may reveal themselves. This, of course, demands that our egos remain free of attachments. If truth is our common aim, we are walking with Christ. I believe that is what Willi, above all else, would be asking of his students.
It is my prayer that our differences are grasped as opportunities lest we fall into the divisiveness that entombs greatness.
Sincerely,
Claudia McLaren Lainson
