2010 STEINERBOOKS SPRING READER

March 17, 2010

2010 Spring ReaderDear Friend,

As always, you will discover many wonderful books and informative writing in this Spring Reader. I hope you find it light-filled, exciting, and a source of much-needed inspiration.

The times continue to be difficult for many of us this year. The world economy is still struggling, and the Earth itself seems to be growing increasingly restless, both globally and locally. It seems something new is on the horizon. As individuals, we each experience these phenomena in unique ways. In 2010, cash remains short for SteinerBooks, so I suggest again that our readers continue to buy and read serious books, which helps all of us. Through reading, together we can find inner strength and inspiration to forge a fruitful, transformative, and compassionate path toward the future. Though I’ve been involved in the publishing world for many years now, I am still amazed by the way a book can inspire, nurture, and give birth to new meaning and renew our sense of place, purpose, and direction.

Again this year, we expect income from sales to be lower than normal, and this is true of donations, as well. As we did last year, in 2010 we must prioritize our goals and continue to cut back in various ways. Nonetheless, we will continue our mission to bring the light of the spirit into the world. Our determination to accomplish that task has not diminished. You can help us by putting books and reading on your list of priorities. If you believe in what we are doing and have the means, we ask you to help us this year by purchasing and reading the books we publish and distribute. When you buy books directly from us, far more of the cover price can go toward our future publishing efforts.

SteinerBooks is a community inasmuch as our readers join us in our mission with encouragement and support. The publication of spiritually inspired books depends equally on those who produce them and those who buy and read them. We cannot do our work alone. Whatever we accomplish, you, the reader, do with us.

We appreciate the gifts, support, and friendship of our many readers through the years.
All very best wishes,
Gene Gollogly
